At UHart, we offer a wide range of services to help support and enhance your UHart academic and student life experience. Connect with your student peers to prepare for success through academic support and mentoring programs.
Academic Support
Focused instruction is available for students to enhance their math, science, reading, and writing skills, including services for non-native English speakers. We also provide accommodations for students with documented disabilities, promoting self-advocacy and independence in a supportive environment.
If, after your first semester in college, you are in need of some additional support to make improvements in your second semester, we have options to help! Connect with the Center for Student Success to find the best path for success.
Tutoring Services
UHart’s comprehensive academic support services include free, one-on-one faculty and peer tutoring through the Center for Student Success. Undergraduate and graduate students tutor in writing, chemistry, biology, math, physics, social sciences, engineering, business, foreign languages, and the performing arts.
We also provide individualized assistance to anyone in the University community who wants to develop efficient strategies for writing across the disciplines. Ask for support with generating ideas for papers, writing research papers, and organizing and editing drafts.
Preceptor Program
Preceptors work within introductory and/or critical gateway courses and can assist with a variety of things such as: leading discussions, running writing workshops, leading a lab section, overseeing a group project, running an exam review session and offering the instructor feedback around creating a classroom environment supportive of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and more.
